About Us:
The Manhattan/Bronx/Westchester Minority Business Enterprise Center (MBEC) is a federally funded program by the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is the only federal agency created specifically to foster the creation, growth and expansion of minority-owned businesses in America. Established in 1969 by Executive Order the mission is to actively promote the growth and competitiveness of large, medium and small minority business enterprises (MBE).
The Manhattan/Bronx/Westchester MBEC is operated by the Interracial Council for Business Opportunity (ICBO). We are committed to empowering and educating minority-owned businesses with tools to gain competitive advantage and business opportunities for growth and advancement in the marketplace. We provide hands on technical assistance through a variety of programs, workshops, one-on-one sessions and networking opportunities for minorities.
